2018 Banksia Award judges’ comments

Since inception we have been concerned with the potential issues of climate and have implemented construction practices to help create a more sustainable environment.

Currently our practice has handled a variety of architectural commissions varying in size from Au$0.1million to Au$30 million.

We have developed ongoing relationships with many clients, which has led to an in depth understanding of their specific needs, and the needs of the aged care and disability sector as a whole. This in turn has meant that Allen Kong Architect has been able to design high quality facilities, which have been successful in meeting the needs of our clients. Featured in the World Alzheimer Report 2020.

Allen Kong Architect projects have received many awards including from state and local government, Royal Australian Institute of Architects, National Housing Industry Association and Master Builders Australia.

Moreover AKA projects have received international Awards from the United Nations, International Academy for Design and Health, World Architecture News and from World Habitat (formerly Building and Social Housing Foundation) UK and International Union of architects.
